Pepperl+Fuchs faced the challenge of building a new distribution facility that would utilize its own automation sensors and provide a holistic, transparent view into its fulfillment operations. The company needed a partner with the right technology to integrate this sensor data, with the ultimate goals of ensuring quick service and accurate product fulfillment. To meet this challenge, they selected vendor SSI Schaefer and its WAMAS® logistics software.

SSI Schaefer implemented its WAMAS® warehouse management solution integrated data from approximately 1,000 Pepperl+Fuchs sensors, providing real-time updates on key performance indicators and enabling fast decision-making for preventive maintenance and fulfillment performance. This resulted in one of the most technologically advanced fulfillment facilities in North America, a 110,000 sq. ft. center featuring automated storage and retrieval systems and streamlined packout processes.
