Largest Asian Financial Institution - Customer Case Study

Largest Asian Financial Institution was struggling with SSH key sprawl and risky file-transfer processes: hundreds to thousands of public keys were being added daily by internal staff and third-party contractors, many of them outdated or unmanaged, and the company needed an SFTP solution that protected sensitive financial data without disrupting productivity. After a wide evaluation, the customer selected SSH.COM and its products—Universal SSH Key Manager (UKM) and Tectia SSH Client/Server—to address both key management and secure file transfer needs.

SSH.COM deployed UKM to automatically scan the infrastructure, inventory and analyze trust relationships, enforce policies, and remediate noncompliant or unused keys with one click—giving centralized control over thousands of hosts and eliminating time-consuming manual sifting. SSH.COM also implemented Tectia SSH Client/Server on Windows and UNIX for X.509-based authentication, local support, and faster secure file transfers (up to twice the speed of OpenSSH). The combined solution improved compliance, cut manual oversight, enabled regular automated scans (even down to five-minute intervals), and streamlined secure file movement across the organization.
