Sees smooth transition from Plan4 to Agility

Airbags International, part of Autoliv, runs a 26,000 m² Congleton site that produces about 45,000 airbags a day (over 15 million a year). After 14 years on the Plan4 CMMS, the team needed a modern system to handle assets, PPM schedules, labour, fault codes and stores management; they were concerned about data migration, potential loss of job history, and long-standing inventory duplication issues.

SoftSols implemented Agility in early 2013, migrating assets, schedules and master data and going live in April. Although full job-history transfer wasn’t possible, history remains accessible, and Agility immediately replaced maintenance requests, improved visibility and traceability, ensured timely services, boosted site reliability, aided external audits, and exposed inventory cleanup needs. The system now serves 105 users and the company plans to add service-contract management and Windows Mobile/barcode functionality.
