Ziegler Capital Management, a Chicago-based institutional and HNW asset manager with $9.8 billion AUM, faced limits in its legacy portfolio management systems as the firm grew rapidly through acquisitions. Seeking a more integrated, scalable platform and automated compliance for pre- and post-trade checks, Ziegler selected SS&C Advent and implemented Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX), added Advent Rules Manager, and integrated with its existing Moxy OMS.

SS&C Advent delivered a single-database solution that improved performance measurement, reporting and composite creation, enabled straight-through trading with automated pre- and post-trade rules, and streamlined conversions of acquired teams. As a result, Ziegler increased reporting accuracy and compliance productivity and absorbed three incoming teams with over $1 billion and ~800 accounts in one quarter without hiring additional staff or seeing system performance degrade.
