Statens Pensjonskasse (SPK), Norway’s main public service pension fund managing NOK 7.6 billion, needed an integrated technology platform to reduce manual intervention, improve operational control, and replace spreadsheet-based risk models. Working with SS&C Advent, SPK built on a long-standing relationship—first using Moxy and Axys and later migrating to Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX)—and expanded its infrastructure with Advent Direct Data Services (ADDS), GLX and KlarityRisk’s Paragon to meet the demands of diverse asset classes and tighter regulatory capital and operational-risk requirements.

SS&C Advent delivered an end-to-end solution centered on APX, ADDS and related tools, integrated with Paragon for dedicated risk management. The implementation automated data flows, minimised external interfaces and eliminated many manual processes, enabling daily risk updates, streamlined reporting across portfolio groups, and reduced operational error risk (for example from manual price inputs). By standardising data and workflows, SS&C Advent helped SPK scale across all asset and instrument types, improve oversight, and position the fund to use stress testing for regulatory capital calculations.
