Rushmore Investment Advisors, a separate account money manager, outgrew its early custodial .csv-based trading process as assets approached and then surpassed several hundred million dollars and needed more control and efficiency across multiple custodians and SMA platforms. To modernize trading, Rushmore turned to SS&C Advent and its trading suite alongside its existing Advent accounting systems, adopting Moxy® as its trade order management system.

SS&C Advent implemented Moxy OMS plus Open SMA Manager and FIX allocations to centralize order management, automate connections to SMA plan sponsors, and streamline post‑trade communication. The solution sped up trade order processing, enabled efficient block order breaking and multi‑custodian execution, eliminated duplicate trade entry, and cut allocation time from roughly two hours to about five minutes—delivering significant time savings, fewer errors and better control over execution.
