Pareto Asset Management, an independent Oslo-based asset manager with $5.5 billion AUM and a long-time Advent client since 1998, needed to modernize its portfolio management, trading and fund order infrastructure to support growth (including a merger expected to raise AUM by ~10%), a larger number of portfolios and instruments, and rising regulatory and reporting demands. To address these challenges they turned to SS&C Advent, deploying solutions including Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX), Moxy, Rules Manager and Tradex.

SS&C Advent implemented APX along with Moxy, Rules Manager and Tradex in a smooth, cost-efficient migration that delivered faster, more sophisticated client and regulatory reporting, full-scale auditing, automated pre- and post-trade compliance and straight-through processing of fund orders to NAV. The changes drastically reduced training time, cut the manual effort and risk in compliance checks, enabled higher transaction volumes with less effort, and provided the scalability and operational efficiencies Pareto needed to support post-merger expansion.
