Manitou Investment Management, a Toronto-based asset manager with approximately CAD 1 billion AUM and a 16-person team, relied on SS&C Advent’s platform—including APX, Moxy and Advent Custodial Data—to run its operations. The firm faced persistent reconciliation issues across multiple custodians and daily manual price fixes for about 40 private securities, which consumed valuable time for its small operations team.

SS&C Advent implemented Advent TransPort alongside Advent Data Solutions (APD, Rex, ACD) and Vision FI to automate custodial data customization, suppress bad prices and load corrected valuations into APX. The solution allowed Manitou to create 40+ rules to eliminate manual fixes, reconcile roughly 1,500 accounts in under 10 minutes each morning, improve accounting and reporting accuracy, and free the team to focus on higher-value work.
