J.P. King Advisors, an RIA in Walnut Creek managing about $480 million in client assets, needed expanded technology after completing succession to a new management team and pursuing accelerated growth and M&A. To replace legacy, paper‑heavy reporting and billing systems and support multi‑custodian aggregation and visual portfolio presentations, J.P. King implemented SS&C Advent’s Black Diamond Wealth Platform (portal and mobile app) in 2012.

SS&C Advent’s Black Diamond delivered a cloud‑based, model‑driven platform that streamlined reporting and billing, enabled highly visual client and prospect portfolio displays, and made electronic delivery the default—reducing print/mail and manual workflows. As a result, J.P. King more than doubled AUM (from roughly $200M to just under $500M), added dozens of new clients each year without increasing staff, and gained the capacity to onboard advisors, execute bulk transfers and pursue M&A more easily.
