A SS&C Advent Case Study

IBS Capital Allies - Customer Case Study

IBS Capital Allies, an Amsterdam-based independent asset manager with $2.9 billion AUM, faced a fragmented IT environment with multiple servers and limited back-office capacity. To simplify operations, improve continuity and gain vendor expertise, IBS engaged SS&C Advent and migrated to Advent Outsourcing Services (AOS) while upgrading to SS&C Advent’s suite—including Advent Market Data (AMD), Advent Portfolio Data (APD) and Advent Genesis—for portfolio management, reporting and trading.

SS&C Advent hosted IBS’s infrastructure, delivered cloud solutions and provided a dedicated managed-services team to run back-office workflows, following a May 2016 migration and managed services from Q3 2017. The move delivered greater stability and dual-site disaster recovery (London and Stockholm), follow-the-sun monitoring, faster maintenance and connectivity (three new custodian interfaces), enabled performance reporting to shift from monthly-by-asset-class to daily-by-security, cut reconciliation issue detection by about one hour, and removed the need to hire additional back-office staff—freeing IBS to focus on client experience and growth.
