David Vaughan Investments, a Peoria-based RIA with about 550 clients and over $1 billion AUM, struggled with fragmented portfolio accounting and CRM workflows that slowed client response and report production. Seeking a more unified solution, the firm turned to SS&C Advent after using Advent’s Axys and Qube products and opted to adopt Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX) to address efficiency and client-service gaps.

SS&C Advent implemented APX, an integrated portfolio management and CRM platform on a single SQL database, giving client-facing staff simultaneous access to contact, holdings and communication history, plus advanced search, automated group and portfolio creation, and report-packaging tools. The result: faster, on-the-spot client responses, reduced errors and significant time savings—packaging enables about 600 quarterly distributions to be produced in roughly three days by one person (saving at least a week in report processing)—along with improved marketing and operational efficiency thanks to SS&C Advent’s APX.
