CPS Investment Advisors, a Lakeland, FL–based RIA and private wealth manager, was growing quickly and struggling to manage a high number of client accounts (about 2,300 households and more than 4,000 accounts) without adding headcount. As long-time users of SS&C Advent’s Axys and Moxy, CPS evaluated new options at an SS&C Deliver conference and selected Advent Genesis from SS&C Advent to solve its scale and efficiency challenges.

SS&C Advent implemented Advent Genesis, a cloud-based front-office platform that automates model management, identifies portfolio drift, and creates orders at scale (capable of rebalancing well over 1,000 accounts/households per minute). The solution cut trade creation from hours to minutes, reduced portfolio drift (improving standard deviation of return), enabled rapid response during market stress, and let CPS defer hires for four years (saving an estimated $100,000+/year). Since adopting Genesis, CPS’s AUM rose from about $1.0B to $1.75B and accounts grew from ~4,000 to 5,600.
