Cornerstone Advisors, an asset management and family office services firm with about $2 billion AUM, faced fragmented systems—corporate accounting, an older in‑house CRM, and Advent’s Axys—that made it hard to integrate portfolio accounting with client relationship data. To solve this, the firm transitioned from Axys to Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX) provided by SS&C Advent.
SS&C Advent implemented APX’s SQL‑based integrated portfolio management and CRM platform with features like Outlook email capture, advanced search, and a new SSRS reporting framework. The solution enabled automated billing and client‑profitability analysis, consolidated manual Excel reporting for private funds into a single APX report, improved access to calculated performance and derived data, and streamlined client correspondence retrieval—delivering clear automation and faster, integrated reporting across Cornerstone Advisors.
