Connor, Clark & Lunn, a Toronto-based multi-boutique asset manager overseeing C$39 billion across ten affiliates, needed a robust, flexible investment management platform that could scale with a growing account base, rising trade volumes, and tight integration with several proprietary systems. They worked with SS&C Advent to replace legacy systems and selected Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX) and Moxy as their core portfolio accounting and OMS solutions to meet those needs.

SS&C Advent implemented APX and Moxy, providing a SQL-based integrated platform that streamlined post-trade processing (including Omgeo connectivity), supported FIX/EMS integration, and tied into CC&L’s custom prospecting, real estate, and analytics systems. The solution delivered measurable scalability and flexibility—enabling new products and custom data, handling peak days of about 1,500 securities and 130,000 executions, and improving straight-through processing and manager insights.
