A SS&C Advent Case Study
Balasa Dinverno Foltz LLC, a Chicago-based private wealth management firm with $2.5 billion in AUM, needed to replace its legacy Axys platform and an aging CRM while keeping tight integration between portfolio accounting and client relationship data. Already an Advent customer since the 1980s, the firm selected Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX) from SS&C Advent for an integrated portfolio management and CRM platform that promised reliability, data integrity and seamless integration.
SS&C Advent implemented APX as the firm’s central “hub,” combining portfolio and client data, centralized CRM records, and automated report packaging. The solution cut quarterly report preparation from roughly 50–60 total staff hours to about 1–2 hours, and saved an additional 20–30 hours per quarter on internal reporting, while enabling customized SSRS reports, continuity of service between advisors, and a smooth migration where reports reconciled “to the penny.”
