Bahl & Gaynor Investment Counsel, a Cincinnati-based RIA and long-time client of SS&C Advent, needed to move its on-premises investment management platform to the cloud to gain agility, strengthen cybersecurity and business continuity, simplify a costly upgrade process, and free staff to focus on core investment activities. The firm engaged SS&C Advent’s Advent Outsourcing Services (AOS) in 2018 after a decades-long relationship that included Axys®, Moxy®, Advent Portfolio Exchange® and Advent Revenue Center®.

SS&C Advent delivered cloud hosting, dedicated 24/7 support and operational services (including data management and reconciliation) via Advent Outsourcing Services. The move reduced reconciliation effort and costs, enabled smooth annual upgrades, improved security and disaster recovery, and allowed Bahl & Gaynor to redeploy staff to higher‑value work—supporting a lean team of fewer than 50 employees managing/advising roughly $28 billion (AUM ~$11.5B; AUA ~$15.7B as of 2/28/2019).
