SonyATV Music Publishing, the world’s No. 1 music publisher, faced a failing legacy imaging system that could no longer support storage, retrieval, and workflow needs for contracts, cue sheets, check copies and other publishing documents across its global offices. To modernize document management and automate processes, SonyATV migrated to Square 9 Softworks’ GlobalSearch document management software and GlobalAction workflow tools.

Square 9 Softworks implemented GlobalSearch and GlobalAction with hot-folder ingestion, automatic indexing and integrated workflows for accounts payable, cue sheet processing, onboarding and licensing data. The solution replaced 2,000 monthly paper check scans with automated PDFs, eliminated about 400 hours of manual work, processes roughly 28,000 cue sheets per year, and enabled 100% electronic invoicing in U.S. offices—streamlining multiple departments and improving auditability.
