GlobalSearch® Takes a Heavy Burden Off Of a Consumer Finance Company

Industrial Acceptance Corporation (IAC), a New Haven–based consumer finance company active in automotive and retail financing, was overwhelmed by heavy fireproof filing cabinets and slow, manual document filing and retrieval that wasted employee time and office space. To address these challenges IAC turned to Square 9 Softworks and its GlobalSearch Content Management Suite (GlobalSearch) to replace paper-heavy processes with electronic document management.

Square 9 Softworks implemented GlobalSearch to scan, index and make documents searchable from any licensed workstation; IAC has stored an estimated 336,000 documents electronically within two years, shredded non-required originals, removed many filing cabinets and freed office and basement space. The GlobalSearch deployment cut labor inefficiencies (saving the equivalent of at least half the cost of one full‑time employee), prompted additional user license purchases, and positioned IAC to further streamline workflows with Square 9’s GlobalForms feature.
