Kuna FoodService, a longstanding Midwest food distributor, was overwhelmed by rapid growth that filled offices with business-critical paper—hundreds of invoices, purchase orders and bills of lading that were time-consuming to find and manage. To centralize storage and speed invoice/check processing, Kuna turned to Square 9 Softworks and implemented its ECM solutions GlobalSearch® and GlobalCapture®.

Square 9 Softworks deployed GlobalSearch and GlobalCapture (and later GlobalForms and GlobalAction) to automate capture, validation and workflows; this eliminated over 25 file cabinets, saved 15 hours/week through automated workflows plus another 20 hours/week on invoice filing (about a 20% productivity increase), enabled near‑instant error detection, and moved PDFs into GlobalSearch hot folders from the ERP. Additional benefits included $5,500 annual savings from GlobalForms and a 50% faster invoice approval process with GlobalAction, allowing Kuna to take advantage of early‑payment discounts.
