Vexilar, a long-standing leader in marine electronics known for its high-quality sonar systems, faced rapidly growing EDI demands from major retailers like Cabela’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods and others. New retail processes such as cross-docking and direct-to-store multiplied EDI transactions, forcing Vexilar’s staff to spend increasing time on manual data entry, error correction and EDI management—work outside their core business.

Vexilar implemented SPS Commerce’s SaaS integrated EDI service in 2007 and used InterDyn Business Microvar’s eConnect adapter to integrate the solution with Microsoft Dynamics GP. The hosted, prewired integration automated order and shipping data exchange for high-volume customers, reduced manual effort and errors, met their timeline before the fall season, and freed Vexilar to focus on growth while planning to onboard remaining trading partners.
