Under Armour, a global performance apparel company, needed better visibility into retail performance as it scaled—tracking sales by store, style, color and other attributes across 32 retailers and e-tailers. To equip sales, planning and product teams with actionable insights, the company sought a reporting and analytics solution that could reveal sell-through, inventory and trend dynamics.
SPS Commerce provided POS reporting and Advanced Retail Management, later upgrading Under Armour to Enterprise Analytics for ad-hoc POS analysis. More than 90 users ran weekly recaps, vendor scorecards, new-store and trend reports to identify high-performing items, improve in-store placement and collaborate with buyers. The data-driven approach turned Under Armour into a strategic retail partner: buyers trusted its recommendations, the sales team relied on SPS reports, and retail performance and sell-through improved.
