SOG Specialty Knives & Tools, Inc. - Customer Case Study

SOG Specialty Knives & Tools, a fast‑growing consumer‑goods manufacturer, needed to scale supply‑chain operations and automate trading‑partner connections from its ERP (Microsoft Dynamics GP) as it expanded into new retail channels. Manual entry of high‑volume EDI orders—especially during holiday peaks—was consuming order fulfillment, accounting and shipping resources and limiting growth. SOG sought a Dynamics GP expert to integrate with SPS Commerce’s Retail Standard XML (RSX) and Universal Network to streamline onboarding and order processing.

Accellos implemented an RSX‑based integration that links Dynamics GP to the SPS Universal Network, quickly onboarding major retailers including Amazon, Costco, Dicks Sporting Goods and Walmart and enabling a single connection to more than 50,000 trading partners. The phased rollout went live in September, supported diverse omni‑channel fulfillment models via configurable GP order rules, eliminated about 1,750 weekly manual EDI transactions, and saved the company more than 60 staff hours per week—allowing SOG to scale with existing resources and respond faster to market demand.
