A SPS Commerce Case Study
Sigma Healthcare, one of Australia’s largest pharmaceutical wholesalers (around $4bn in revenue and a network of ~1,200 pharmacies), faced limited supply-chain visibility and low adoption of Fulfilment EDI across its supplier base. With fewer than 20% of its ~500 regular suppliers automated, the business relied on manual reconciliation of orders, deliveries and invoices, hindering Project Renew’s goal to improve efficiency and free staff for proactive work.
Sigma partnered with SPS Commerce to deliver Fulfilment EDI and Community onboarding, integrating with Sigma’s IBM ASW ERP and supporting turnover orders directly into the ERP (10,000+ orders/month). SPS managed supplier migration and onboarding, achieving a statistical 127% supplier onboarding result, eliminating much manual reconciliation, improving master data and partner collaboration, and unlocking measurable efficiency gains across the supply chain.
