Schwabe North America (Nature’s Way), a Green Bay–based maker of herbal supplements sold through major retailers and e‑commerce channels, was rapidly adding customers but hampered by a failing EDI program: a proprietary provider that offered no data visibility, frequent outages, no SLA, and months‑long onboarding times. The company needed a reliable, transparent solution to automate orders, shipments and invoices as it scaled.

In 2016 Schwabe deployed SPS Commerce Fulfillment for SAP, integrating via XML and gaining end‑to‑end visibility, dedicated support and strong uptime. The result: support for 65+ retailers, roughly 175,000 transactions annually at ~98.8–99% accuracy, onboarding times cut from months to days, and a 40% EDI volume increase after adding Canadian retailers.
