Q Drinks, a Brooklyn-based maker of premium carbonated mixers launched in 2007, grew quickly into dozens of national retailers and liquor distributors (including Kroger, Target, Whole Foods and Total Wine). As order volumes and retailer compliance requirements increased, their third‑party EDI system struggled—producing inaccurate labels and forcing heavy manual data entry that effectively required 2–3 full‑time equivalents.
SPS Commerce implemented SPS Fulfillment, the native NetSuite EDI solution, to automate order processing and compliance. The deployment allowed about 95% of key customer orders to flow automatically, cut keystrokes per order by 90%, eliminated extra hiring, enabled two‑day retailer onboarding (e.g., Ahold Delhaize), automated shipping notices and labels at warehouses, and positioned Q Drinks to scale with most major accounts on EDI.
