OMI Industries expand their trading partner network with SPS Commerce

OMI Industries, a maker of consumer, commercial and industrial odor-management products, experienced rapid retail growth as major retailers and e-commerce channels began ordering nationwide. What started with simple web-based EDI forms became unmanageable when a large customer (Bed, Bath & Beyond) began sending per-store EDI orders, ballooning order volume and exposing the limits of manual processing and their WebForms setup. OMI needed an automated, NetSuite-integrated EDI solution to handle high-volume trading partners.

In May 2010 OMI implemented SPS Commerce’s Integrated EDI for NetSuite with OzLINK for shipping and label compliance, enabling hands-free order processing and automatic ASN generation. The solution now supports 16 trading partners and a broad set of EDI transactions, populates NetSuite with EDI data for faster customer service, and allowed OMI to scale e-commerce and retail trading without adding internal resources.
