Industrial Revolution, a Redmond, Wash. maker of camping gear since 1971 (brands include Original Candle Lantern, Light My Fire and Ultrapod), has been growing rapidly through new products, partnerships and acquisitions. That expansion increased order volume and new accounts, straining operations and prompting the company to seek on-demand supply chain and EDI integration to reduce manual work and errors.
Working with SPS Commerce to deliver integrated EDI (with several customers fully integrated and others on WebForms), Industrial Revolution achieved faster turnaround, fewer manual processes and reduced errors and chargebacks, while improving communication with partners. The company plans to move more customers to full EDI integration to drive further efficiency as it scales.
