Lamps Plus, the nation’s leading specialty lighting retailer, faced a fragmented supply chain that still depended on manual work like faxing orders, calling vendors for status updates, and processing paper invoices. With a large eCommerce business, 32 stores, and more than 700 vendors, the company needed a better way to manage purchase orders, order changes, inventory visibility, and fulfillment across its warehouse and drop-ship operations. It partnered with SPS Commerce to modernize these processes.
SPS Commerce implemented automated EDI and supply chain collaboration tools for Lamps Plus, including purchase orders, invoice automation, inventory feeds, and advance ship notices. The result was faster order processing, better inventory visibility, improved receiving and shipping efficiency, and more accurate three-way invoice matching. Lamps Plus says every order fulfilled by domestic vendors now runs through SPS Commerce, helping it ship faster, reduce stock levels, minimize cancellations, and meet customer delivery commitments more reliably.
