HDW Inc. is an employee-owned wholesale distributor of hardware and building materials serving more than 1,500 retailers across the southern U.S. The company relied on manual, fax-based ordering that provided no order or shipping confirmations, causing poor visibility into inbound shipments, frequent stock outs, and difficulty managing inventory. The EDI connections delivered order confirmations and shipment visibility, reducing inventory carrying costs and allowing buyers to identify delays early and secure alternative sources, resulting in improved inventory management and fewer stock outs.
