Toyota Deutschland GmbH needed to pivot its B2B-focused online shop to a customer-first B2C platform to keep 200+ local dealers connected during the COVID‑19 lockdown. With limited internal IT capacity and a pressing demand to ship a Corona Viable Product (CVP) within weeks, Toyota engaged Spryker and its Spryker Cloud Commerce OS to rapidly build an easy-to-use online solution for dealerships and end customers.
Spryker implemented a modular, headless commerce platform using an incremental "fail fast" approach, delivering a first go‑live in just 3 weeks that handled 4,000 product variations and empowered Toyota’s dealer network. The Spryker solution created a scalable foundation for ongoing digital growth, enabled dealers to serve customers safely during lockdown, and has already driven an increase in sales.
