How General Mills is using Spring Health to change lives and transform their culture

General Mills partnered with Spring Health to change the culture around mental health for its 30,000-strong workforce, aiming to destigmatize care, lower barriers to clinical support, and deliver a low-cost, clinically proven behavioral health solution. General Mills launched Spring Health on January 1, 2021 for 15,871 eligible employees, seeking precision mental healthcare and personalized care delivery to drive measurable clinical outcomes.

Spring Health implemented a data-driven assessment, personalized care plans, dedicated Care Navigators, fast access to therapists, and on-demand digital CBT resources (Moments). Within 14 months 28% of employees enrolled and 88% of those completed the mental wellness assessment; 26% now access the benefit versus 1% under the prior EAP, and members can see a provider in under two days. Clinical impact includes 58% improvement in depression (avg 2.46 sessions), 49% improvement in anxiety (avg 1.4 sessions), 67% showing overall improvement, and 82 members supported with suicide ideation and intent.
