Superfoods store achieves amazing page load speed results after upgrading to Spree 4.1 and implementing the new Spree UX

Spirulina.pl, a family-owned Polish superfoods brand, had been running its online store on Spree Commerce since 2013 but was using an outdated version of Spree and Rails. Concerned about security, user experience, and conversion performance, the company chose to stay with Spree Commerce rather than migrate to a new platform and upgrade its store instead.

Spree Commerce helped Spirulina.pl quickly modernize its storefront by moving to Spree 4.1 and implementing the new Spree UX layouts. The project was completed by a small team of fewer than six people, and the results included a significantly shorter and more convenient checkout journey plus page speed improvements to 99–100 points on Google Lighthouse after server optimization.
