How MilanStyle.com got 45% conversion boost for 725k luxury & fashion products after migration to Spree Commerce 3.0

MilanStyle.com is a global luxury and fashion marketplace that grew from a men’s designer storefront into a catalog of some 725k luxury items but was constrained by a WordPress platform that could only handle ~40k products, slow page loads, unreliable XML imports and limited features. The business needed a scalable architecture and better user experience to add womenswear, support hundreds of thousands of SKUs and improve conversion and marketing performance.

Working with Spark Solutions, MilanStyle migrated to a Spree Commerce 3.0 stack (Ruby on Rails, ElasticSearch, React, Heroku), rebuilt responsive UI, real-time feed updates, fast search/filtering and a robust admin panel. The new platform delivered a 45% conversion uplift, roughly 10x product-scale capacity, a mobile-ready UX, and an MVP launched in three months within 96% of the estimated budget—improving speed, manageability and SEO-driven traffic.
