Finery London is a designer-led online womenswear brand founded in 2014 with a mission to offer modern, sophisticated styling without compromising quality. The business needed an elegant, high-performance e-commerce site that would reflect its clean, visual aesthetic and serve as the primary customer touchpoint while being launched quickly and validated with real users.
Finery built a Spree Commerce site (Ruby on Rails) and used an invite-only soft launch to gather user data, adding features like a gamified "In The Mood For" browse tool to enhance discovery. The result: over 3 million visitors, 100,000 customers and £5 million in online sales in the first year, plus Retail Systems’ Website of the Year — exceeding expectations for the brand’s first major digital channel.
