Bonobos, founded in New York in 2007, disrupted retail with an online-first model and later expanded to physical "Guideshops" and a partnership with Nordstrom, plus a women's line, Ayr. Rapid growth exposed technical debt in a custom legacy system—new developers spent excessive time on maintenance and customer service teams had to juggle multiple systems, impacting the customer experience.

Bonobos integrated its storefront, ERP and warehouse with Wombat to route orders and manage inventory, rolling the solution into the Ayr launch. The move reduced technical overhead, improved backend stability and standardization, and freed resources to focus on customer service and business growth.
