Bevv uses Spree multi vendor marketplace to disrupt how craft beer and alcohol is bought & sold within the U.S.

Bevv is a multi-vendor marketplace that brings craft beer and cider direct-to-consumer, positioning itself as “Etsy for craft alcohol.” Faced with the legal, logistics and compliance hurdles of selling regulated products and the need to give each brewer a branded storefront and discovery engine, Bevv set out to create an Etsy-meets-Shopify experience that bypasses the antiquated three-tier distribution model.

Bevv implemented the Spree Commerce multi-vendor marketplace extension on a Ruby on Rails/AWS stack and partnered with UPS for on-demand and carrier delivery, enabling rapid launch, unlimited SKUs and streamlined vendor onboarding. The platform expanded into eight states, opened the opportunity to nearly 2,000 breweries, increased producer margins by about 55%, and provides fast local delivery or nationwide shipping while keeping regulatory compliance.
