The organizer wanted to boost real-time attendee engagement across in-venue, online and mobile channels, increase use of the #SDSummit hashtag and deliver a lifesize, visually compelling on-site social experience.

Spredfast created a web-based Social Hub, embedded the experience in the Summit mobile app and deployed a 26'x13' four-frame Social Media Wall to surface text, photo and video submissions with #SDSummit/#SDSummitSelfie. The effort made #SDSummit the #1 trending topic with ~13,000 mentions, drove a 374% increase in conversation and a 550% rise in hashtag volume, achieved a 35% interaction rate on the hub, ~2,000 app downloads and 342 new followers.
