How PacSun Inspired Over 22,000 Pieces of Consumer-Generated Content

PacSun partnered with Spredfast to amplify its Golden State of Mind (GSOM) campaign and needed an interactive, customer‑centric experience that would drive brand awareness, deepen consumer connections, and integrate social into its marketing. The challenge was to inspire authentic consumer-generated content and keep engagement high across Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

Using Spredfast’s Experiences platform, PacSun launched the #myGSOM initiative—a customized gallery and a 10‑week contest encouraging fans to submit photos for a chance to win trips to one of 20 GSOM cities. The campaign captured over 22,800 submissions, sustained roughly 200 hashtag mentions per day after the contest, and generated tweet reach to more than 15 million followers.
