HSN teamed with Spredfast to put social media at the center of the customer experience, using HSN’s weekly Beauty Report as the testbed. The challenge was to create an omni-channel, customer-centric path to purchase that boosted awareness, engagement and repeat viewership by improving the second-screen experience and making it easier for customers to share feedback and influence others.
The solution wove live social activity and Spredfast visualizations into TV, HSN.com and mobile/tablet touchpoints—using CTAs, live tweeting, a dedicated web destination and cross-functional planning to spark conversation and drive participation. Results included 320× growth in impressions, a doubled time slot for the show, the #BeautyReport hashtag trending for 1.5 hours, 7.5× growth in mentions, and 17% of social stories plus 21% of Twitter community growth attributable to Spredfast visualizations—boosting awareness, loyalty and sales.
