The European Automotive Group faced a challenge in efficiently authoring and delivering vehicle-specific wiring data from a small team of 50 harness editors at its headquarters out to a vast network of approximately 50,000 workshop technicians. The editing process was a bottleneck, with editors needing a more efficient platform to save crucial seconds and clicks. SPREAD provided a two-part solution with its harness-editor platform for authoring data and a workshop wiring application for consumption.

SPREAD's implementation created a seamless data pipeline that delivered VIN-specific wiring schematics directly into the dealership diagnostic system. This solution saved an estimated 1.65 million editor-seconds annually, which compounded into ~1.65 billion workshop-second equivalents downstream due to the 1,000x leverage ratio. The platform proved so durable that the customer cleared every procurement-review checkpoint since 2020, opting not to walk away. SPREAD is now scoping an extension to add 3D harness visualization to the workshop application.
