The University of Auckland partnered with Spotless Group to enhance campus food and beverage services through its Alliance brand. The challenge was to create a convenient, appealing retail café offering for students and staff, while also supporting student employment on campus.

Spotless Group’s Alliance brand launched and operated the Shaky Isles retail café under licence, focusing on quality coffee, nutritious cabinet food, and cook-to-order menus. The solution proved popular and expanded to include a coffee cart in the Engineering school, operating five days a week, while also employing nearly 40 casual university students across a range of roles.
