Taronga Conservation Society Australia, through Taronga Zoo Sydney in Sydney, New South Wales, needed a catering and hospitality partner that could support its busy visitor operations while advancing ambitious sustainability goals. In 2017, Spotless Group’s EPICURE brand was selected to deliver catering and hospitality services at the zoo and the Taronga Centre, with a strong focus on reducing environmental impact.

Spotless Group implemented sustainability-led food service initiatives in partnership with Taronga and Spotless Sustainability Services, including renewable energy improvements, better asset performance, plastic-free and recyclable food packaging, biodegradable tableware, and the use of sustainable palm oil. The partnership also established a dedicated sustainability fund to support long-term environmental initiatives, helping Taronga progress toward its goal of carbon neutrality by 2025 while serving more than 1.5 million annual visitors.
