Case Study: RMIT transforms student lounges with Spotless Group and Nuvo Group

RMIT partnered with Spotless Group, through Nuvo Group, to upgrade outdated student lounge areas across its Melbourne campuses. The challenge was to transform underused “dead” spaces into modern, functional environments that would encourage students to stay, study, eat, and socialize, while updating the air-conditioning, mechanical, electrical, and technology infrastructure.

Spotless Group, via Nuvo Group, delivered the solution by installing new LED lighting, USB power outlets, Cat6a cabling for wireless access points, and student amenities such as microwaves and coffee machines. Working over multiple weekends, the team completed more than 30 lounge upgrades with minimal disruption, and the refreshed spaces were ready for immediate use by Monday morning.
