Northern Health, a major public hospital in Epping, Victoria, needed to improve the reliability and capacity of its backup power infrastructure to ensure essential services could keep running during grid outages. Spotless Group, through Nuvo Group, provided air-conditioning, mechanical and electrical services to support the major infrastructure upgrade.

Spotless Group decommissioned the existing 750kVA generator and backup circuits and installed two new 1100kVA generators, along with a new weatherproof distribution board, generator control and ATS unit, upgraded switchboards, and new mains and submains. The eight-month project was completed on schedule with minimal shutdowns and no change in hospital function for patients, while Northern Health gained greater backup power capacity for both current needs and future essential services.
