The Department of Health and Human Services in Victoria needed to expand the ageing Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre to increase resident capacity and improve onsite services, while working within a highly secure operational detention environment. Spotless Group, through its Nuvo Group brand, was selected to deliver the electrical, technology, and data packages for the project.

Spotless Group’s Nuvo Group provided a full design-and-construct solution for a new standalone detention facility, including six buildings with high-security and anti-vandalism measures, full fibre circuits, and CBUS technology with redundancy. The work was completed over 14 months, with all buildings constructed simultaneously, and the project was delivered on time, on budget, and to specification.
