Brookfield Multiplex engaged Spotless Group, through its Nuvo brand, to help deliver the Hopkins Correctional Ararat Prison Redevelopment in Victoria, Australia. The challenge was to complete a major electrical and communications upgrade for a live, operational prison while meeting strict security requirements and maintaining uninterrupted daily operations.

Spotless Group delivered the $1.7 million electrical and communications package for the secure perimeter expansion, including a new sterile zone, equipment cubicles, cameras, electric fence, UPS, and a mobile phone detection array. Working closely with the Department of Health and Human Services, Spotless Group managed shutdowns carefully and minimised disruption, and its strong performance led to an additional $3.1 million in electrical works being awarded.
