NUHS Singapore operationalizes AI to transform healthcare

The National University Health System (NUHS) in Singapore faced the challenge of an aging population and rising chronic diseases, which increased demand on its facilities. To execute a national strategy focused on preventive, community-based care, NUHS needed to leverage real-time data and AI for predictive analytics but was hindered by a former system that could not operationalize AI models or automate clinical workflows. They partnered with vendor TIBCO to overcome these obstacles.

TIBCO's solutions, including TIBCO Streaming and TIBCO Spotfire, were deployed on NUHS's ENDEAVOUR AI platform to operationalize AI models. This enabled real-time data streaming and predictive capabilities, such as screening for breast cancer risk and predicting 30-day hospital readmissions. The results included significant gains in productivity, patient outcomes, and cost savings, with plans to scale up to 150 distinct AI and automation tools for smarter, more effective healthcare.
