Pivotree reduces cloud costs and improves visibility for customers, using Spot by NetApp’s solutions for FinOps

Pivotree, a managed services provider for frictionless commerce experiences, needed better visibility into cloud costs for both its own operations and its customers. As an AWS user, Pivotree also wanted a more efficient way to optimize reserved commitments across EC2 and RDS workloads, while replacing an existing cost management tool with something easier to use and more reseller-focused. Spot products mentioned in the case study include CloudCheckr and Cloud Commitment Management.

Spot implemented CloudCheckr and Flexera One Cloud Commitment Management to improve billing accuracy, cost reporting, and commitment optimization. The result was automated, accurate cloud usage billing for all Pivotree customers, optimized reserved commitments across EC2 and RDS workloads, and less time spent managing Reserved Instances for greater savings. Pivotree also expanded into Ocean to support container optimization as its cloud environments grew more dynamic.
