HYPR Achieve 78% Monthly Savings Using Spotinst Elastic Beanstalk Integration

HYPR, the world’s largest influencer search and discovery directory, was running many AWS Elastic Beanstalk environments on On‑Demand instances and faced a rapid growth phase that required scaling, health checks, and version releases in under a month. Managing servers was time‑consuming and expensive, so HYPR turned to Spot and its Elastigroup Elastic Beanstalk integration to simplify operations and cut infrastructure costs.

Spot migrated HYPR’s Beanstalk environments to Spot Instances using the Elastigroup import wizard, a process that took only minutes and preserved existing Beanstalk workflows. The move delivered dramatic results — HYPR achieved about 78% savings on compute costs, added another 150‑server environment, could afford to scale up an additional ~100 Spot instances, and upgraded to larger instance types while gaining easier, automated management; HYPR is now extending the Spot solution to ECS and EMR.
