Haptik, a leading chatbot platform building conversational applications for consumers and enterprises, faced rapidly rising AWS compute costs after relying mostly on On‑Demand instances. After experimenting with the AWS Spot market proved too complex to manage manually, Haptik turned to Spot (using the Elastigroup product) to get an automated, reliable way to run production workloads on Spot capacity.

Spot’s Elastigroup provided predictive spot-placement, automated fallbacks to On‑Demand, scheduling, stateful snapshotting, and autoscaling so Haptik could run mission‑critical services on the cheapest available instances without risking downtime.
